Hello crafty friends!
I am on the blog today with a Shabby Chic wedding card and a tag to go along with it.
To make my card and the tag, I am using the Forever and Always paper pack from the LB store.
I began by choosing two papers from the pack (one with more golden design and one more white). Cut 4″x6″ from the two sheets.
I used adhesive tape to adhere the Chevron printed sheet directly on a 4″x6″ white card base. Before adhering it on the card, I trimmed it little so that a uniform white portion of the card beneath could be seen from all the four sides.
Trim the other panel little shorter than the Chevron sheet. Distress the edges using the distress tool from all the four sides. Adhere this panel on the card using foam adhesive.
Here, I have all the materials, I plan to use on my card. It includes flowers, chipboard frame, string, leaves, cheesecloth etc. I also printed a wedding picture. Picture credit – Pixabay.
I trimmed the image such that it fits perfectly in the chipboard frame. Using liquid glue, I adhered the image from the backside.
Using liquid glue, I adhered the piece of cheesecloth in the centre of the card.
Adhere the chipboard frame with the photograph using thin foam adhesive over the cheesecloth. Decorate using all the embellishments. (I kept the chipboard frame as it is as I didn’t want to shift the focus from the picture)
I cut one sentiment from the sentiment sheet, added foam tape underneath (double layered at the centre to create an arch when adhered).
This completes the card!
For my tag, I used the same papers from the pack to complement the card. Adhere the Chevron paper directly on the white card and distressed the dotted sheet using distress tool.
I punched a hole in the tag. Foam mounted the distressed panel. Collected all the embellishments for my tag. Also cut a sentiment from the sentiment sheet.
I had this tiny chipboard embellishment in my stash. I heat embossed it with gold embossing powder.
I adhered the cheesecloth to the tag and decorated with the embellishments such as flowers, leaves, twine etc.
Adhered the sentiment using foam adhesive and added the heat embossed chipboard. Tied a piece of cheesecloth and golden ribbon through the punched hole.
I decided to add some glitter to both the projects. Using liquid adhesive and golden hearts (bling) I added some glittery focus on the projects.
That completes both the shabby chic set of card and tag.
Here are some final pictures.
