Quick and Easy Double Triangle Cards

Hi it is Linda from Down Under,

I am back to share a fun tutorial today – quick and easy cards!  Often when we think quick and easy, we think ‘boring!’ I am here to show you that is not the way it has to be.  I have created two pretty floral, fancy fold cards and they are very quick to create – especially with the beautiful Little Birdie Crafts products that are readily available to us.

I have a complete list of the Little  Birdie Products I have used at the bottom of this post.

The cutting and scoring are easy, one sheet of 21cm x 28cm card stock makes two of these cards,  All you have to do is cut your card stock in half diagonally. This gives you the two card bases.  Fold the left side across so the point meets the right hand side of the card stock, then fold the top over so the point meets the bottom right corner of the card base – this forms the base of your double triangle card Use a Bone Folder for a crisp fold.   Adhere white card stock to the rectangle in the centre using double sided tape.

Cut one piece of co-ordinating patterned paper measuring 10cm x 13.5cm from each of the paper packs.  Cut diagonally from the top left corner to the bottom right hand corner.  Adhere one of the triangles to the lower front of the card and the contrasting paper to the other side – repeat on the other card base.

On the first card front,  glue some of the  Dazzle Cocktail – Sangria along the stems of the flowers singularly and to the leaves in clusters.

Cut the centre circle out, and pop up the scalloped frame onto the left side of the card front.  Apply 3D Foam Squares to the right hand side of the floral circle and inside the scalloped frame – check that none can be seen when the card is open.

Add the Bouquet Mulberry, Khloe Mulberry, Vincy Boutique Flowers and  Elvuna onto the left hand flap, making sure they overlap slightly onto the pre-cut floral circle when the card is closed.

Adhere a Butterfly to the top left  edge of the Scalloped image – trim and adhere a Bouquet Mulberry flower to the centre of each butterfly on the pre-cut image, adhere a sentiment from the Self Adhesive Embellishments – Wishes 4 across the centre of the image.  Glue a Spring Beaded Butterfly to the top right corner of the card front, along with a Bouquet Mulberry flower to the centre of the butterflies body.

For the second card, randomly glue some of the Sequins Medley – Purple Pizzazz onto the both flaps of the card front.

Apply 3D Foam Squares to the right hand side only of the pre-cut image and pop up onto the right hand triange/flap – double check the Foam Squares cannot be seen when the card is open. Glue a Spring Beaded Butterfly to the top left edge of the pre-cut scalloped image, along with a Bouquet Mulberry flower to the centre of the butterflies body.

Add the Bouquet Mulberry, Khloe Mulberry, Vincy Boutique Flowers onto the left hand flap, making sure they overlap slightly onto the pre-cut floral circle when the card is closed.  Adhere a sentiment from the Self Adhesive Embellishments – Wishes 4  below the scalloped image.
