Best Fishes!!

Hello friends!

This is Anila from India!

I am at the blog today with a set of cards using the Fintastic Birthday
stamp set. I am sharing two 4″x6″ cards and two 4″x4″ mini note cards.

Here’s a look brief look at them.

4″x 6″ cards

4″x 4″ mini note cards

Stamped all the images on a watercolour paper, coloured them with Zig markers and fussy cut them.

Ink blended a paper using distress inks to create the ocean look. Die-cut an oval using Stitched oval dies.

Foam mounted the die-cut on a side folding card base. Adhered all the fussy cut images to create an ocean scene. Foam mounted the sentiment.

Lastly, added few dew drops to complete the card.

For this card, I stamped the image repeatedly in black ink on a watercolour paper. Die-cut the paper using a heart die, centring one image in the centre of the heart.

Coloured the images, all in yellow and the centre one in red to highlight it. I traced and trimmed a coloured heart from a yellow cardstock.

On a white side-fold card base, adhered the yellow heart. Foam mounted the die-cut heart over it.

Lastly, foam mounted the sentiment.

On a white card, randomly added watercolour strokes to create the water effect. Stamped the sentiment around the strokes to create a box effect.

Stamped, coloured and fussy cut the image.

Mounted the panel on a 4″x4″ note card. Foam mounted the image on the card.

Lastly, to add some pop of colour, I stamped the tiny hearts all around the sentiment.

I stamped all the images on a watercolour paper. Coloured and fussy cut the images.
On a 4″x4″ top-fold card, adhered the images to create the fish tank scene.
Stamped the sentiment. Added few shadow details to the card.

That’s all for today! Hope you liked the cards. Please leave your valuable feedback in the comments below.

I would be back with some more inspirations soon.

Vintage cards with a pop of colours!

Hello friends!

This is Anila!

I am on the blog today, sharing a couple of Vintage cards with a pop of colours!

I am using the Vintage Reflections paper pack for my cards here!

I took a 6″x6″ white card base and a smaller white panel. I began by cutting a paper from the pack into smaller pieces. Distressed the edges.

Adhered, the pattern papers to the white cards. Mounted/layered the smaller matted piece on the base using foam adhesive.

I collected some embellishments like flowers, die-cut leaves using Birdcage thin cut die, a stamped sentiment, cheesecloth, sisal fibre and a die-cut doily using Ornate doily die

Here are some images of the finished card.

I made one more card on the similar lines. This time I layered a rectangle over the Square card base. Matted and mounted it the same way.

Embellished using similar elements, only replaced the doily with a strip of punched border.

I kept both the cards simple with the centered focal elements. Lastly, added a few matching sequins to complete the card.

That’s all for today!

Hope you liked the card.

Paper Moon Mixed Media Card

Hello Little Birdie fans  I am so glad you stopped by.  I am very excited to be sharing a new whimsical/Mixed Media card for Little Birdie Crafts .  I am having so much fun with their fabulous products – there is no end to the possibilities!  For this card I have used some of the stunning Chipboard, stencil, Embossing Paste, flowers and more.

Trim the packaging from the Chipboard Floral Corner and adhere to a piece of patterned paper  15cm x 10cm using double sided tape.  Glue the Chipboard Floral Corner x2 to opposite corners of the card front.

NOTE:  Little Birdie Crafts packaging is perfect to add to projects as it has such wonderful backgrounds and adds a unique touch.

Pop up the hand-cut image onto the top right corner using foam tape for dimension.  Secure the Dots Stencil to the card front using re-positional tape.  Apply Embossing Texture Paste – Avocado Smoothy to the stencil using a spatula, remove any excess before removing the stencil.  Set the Embossing Paste using a Heat tool until it expands.

NOTE:  Wash the Stencil and Spatula with warm water straight away before it sets.

Arrange the flowers onto the lower left corner of the card front, once you are happy with the placement glue them in place.  Trim the  Bloom Fence Blush.  Glue the top portion from the bottom left corner to the Chipboard Floral Corner, – tucking under some of the petals.  Wrap a few strands of the Sisal Fibre Natural  around the lower portion of the card front, securing in a knot at the front of the  Bloom Fence Blush.

Glue two  Burlap Mini Beaded Butterflies to the card front, fitting in with the flowers,  Add random touches of white paint to the end of the flower petals and to the butterflies. Finish by popping up the card front onto a slightly larger pre-cut card base using foam tape for dimension.

NOTE:  Photographing your card before adhering the flowers and other embellishments helps when deciding if they are positioned correctly.
